SALALAH: The summer programme (Leadership Rooting) concluded on Sunday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. The programme was organised by the Municipal Council of Dhofar Governorate in collaboration with the 'Ta'seel' Initiative Team over a two-week period, targeting 90 male and female students.
The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, who honoured the participating students, trainers, lecturers and contributors to the organisation, in recognition of their efforts in implementing the programme and achieving its objectives.
The programme encompassed a series of specialist lectures, workshops, interactive sessions and applied activities, delivered by over 26 trainers, lecturers and speakers. These sessions were designed to cultivate leadership capabilities among young participants, instil national values, enhance social responsibility and refine personal skills, thereby contributing to the preparation of a cadre of young national leaders.
The programme forms part of broader community-driven efforts aimed at nurturing a generation conscious of its national identity, steadfast in its values and equipped with the knowledge and leadership competencies necessary to make a meaningful contribution to the service of the nation and society. — ONA
